What sort of properties do you have to rent

This area of Spain has lots of rental property for short term holiday lets and also longer term rental. Typically our properties are in an established community and include studio apartments, apartments with a sea view, townhouses and villas with pools and gardens.

What areas do you cover

We are based in Alfaz del Pi, just a few miles inland from the coast and a popular residential area for British, Scandinavian, Dutch and German residents as well as Spanish.

We also have properties in Benidorm either in the centre of things or in quieter areas. The coastal resorts of Albir and Altea just north of Benidorm on the coast road are year round communities with shops and seaside restaurants and bars close at hand.

If you have a family you will need to know about local schools, we can advise in this area.

Why should I rent long term?

There are all sorts of reasons that it makes sense to rent long term. Your plans may be fluid or you may be looking for the right place to buy. You may just be taking a long holiday in this beautiful and friendly part of Spain’s Costa Blanca. Certainly a specialist long term renter like BBS Residential Rentals has access to a whole range of properties for substantially less cost than a short term holiday rental.


How long is my contract
This will vary according to the property and your needs. Typically there is a minimum period of three months up to 11 months(renewable) A minimum of two months rent together with any deposit is payable on signing the contract.

What sort of deposit is required?
Again this varies by property but typically one or two months deposit is typically required to reserve your property, do check with us what exactly will be required for each property.


And returning the deposit?
At the end of your contract and only after an inspection has been made and any outstanding bills have been received and paid and all of the terms and conditions of your contract have been met will your deposit be refunded.


What about utility bills?
It is a condition of most rental contracts that you are expected to pay the monthly water and electricity bills. If you have a longer contract then you may have to pay the local rates and community charges This will be made quite clear at the time of contract and we will advise typical budget costs.


Do I need to speak Spanish?
All of our business is conducted in English.

There is a big English speaking community including English speaking doctors, dentists, lawyers, and architects.


Will my rented accommodation be furnished?
Normally most of our properties are furnished and include fully fitted kitchens, sofas, beds, tables and chairs etc. But, some properties are available unfurnished. This is made clear on the property listing on the site.

How soon can I move in?
Once you have found the rental property right for you, the deposits have been paid and contracts signed, its normal that you can have your keys in just a few more days. Generally speaking the rental process in Spain is much simpler and straight forward than renting in the UK.
